In VR, after you set a safe boundary, you can detect and avoid obstacles that suddenly enter the zone—without toggling passthrough—making VR safer and more reassuring.
YVR has launched spatial sensing—the first domestic VR all-in-one brand to do so—addressing user pain points and showcasing self-developed strength while leading safer VR globally.
YVR 2’s spatial sensing detects and highlights both moving and static obstacles in real time. After the user defines the safe area, the headset continuously scans the environment and outlines obstacles with lines for clear warnings.

Launched in July 2022, YVR 2 is a consumer VR product and the world’s first mass-produced Pancake optical all-in-one—distinctive design, clear visuals, comfortable wear, stable tracking, and friendly software—popular for home and social use.
“From user feedback, safety in the physical world while deeply immersed in VR is essential—especially with kids, pets, or groups,” a YVR software engineer said.

YVR prioritized spatial sensing across algorithms, software, and product—delivering real-time, accurate, visually clear obstacle cues.
Spatial sensing involves live environment sensing, dense point clouds, obstacle logic, and graphics—raising the bar for efficient, accurate, low-latency VSLAM.
“VSLAM captures hundreds of thousands of points per frame—challenging on headset compute,” an algorithm engineer said. “We also tuned recall and false-positive rates to reduce misses and false alarms.”

Spatial sensing isn’t YVR’s first innovation. In November 2022, YVR shipped multi-map memory—first in China—letting users save boundaries once and auto-recall next time, streamlining entry to VR.
Behind dense innovation is YVR’s R&D: core self-developed tech from day one, ~70% R&D staff globally across industrial design, optics, hardware, software, and algorithms—among the few full-stack independent VR hardware teams in China.
In 2023, YVR keeps iterating—focused on solving pain points and delivering real value—more comfortable, convenient experiences so more people can play their dreams.
