YVR, a leading domestic VR brand, has launched multi-map memory—supporting up to five mapped play spaces with intelligent boundary memory and automatic switching. As the first brand in China to ship this on an all-in-one VR device, YVR again demonstrates leading R&D—details that create great experiences and innovation that moves the industry.
Move freely between real and virtual
Multi-map memory streamlines how users enter the metaverse, cuts repeated setup, and makes the experience safer and easier.
Users can define multiple custom guardian boundaries for different rooms. Set once—when you return, the headset recalls the boundary automatically, so you don’t redraw every time. Pick up YVR and jump into VR fast.
YVR supports up to five maps at once—living room, bedroom, kids’ room, game area—use anywhere at home. Within one map, multiple boundaries are supported for different needs.

The feature also supports smart boundary switching. After startup, YVR continuously senses the environment, recognizes where you are, compares saved boundaries, and switches dynamically—no need to remove the headset; move near a saved boundary to switch play spaces safely and easily.
VSLAM: the “killer” tech behind it
YVR’s industry-first multi-map memory delivers high-precision boundary recognition and high recall—powered by self-developed VSLAM.
“Multi-map memory raises the bar for our VSLAM—especially recognizing and switching multiple boundaries in one map requires extremely accurate positioning and mapping,” a YVR lead said. “Our algorithm, software, and engineering teams spent half a year on R&D, testing, and tuning to deliver the best experience.”
Beyond precision, YVR optimized the OS for fast map wake and switching—millisecond response and stable performance—with more upgrades planned for map limits and interaction.

YVR will keep pushing VSLAM limits and explore scenarios such as multi-user offline entertainment—more accurate positioning without drift or collisions.
Innovation and the future
YVR is among the few independent VR hardware teams in China with full-stack R&D, focused on core tech from day one.
The team is global and senior—about 70% R&D across industrial design, optics, hardware, software, and algorithms—with core members from top Silicon Valley AI teams and China’s tech giants, each with 8+ years in VR and multiple patents.
YVR’s computer-vision algorithms lead the industry. Self-developed head and hand 6DoF tracking offers ultra-low latency, high accuracy, strong robustness, and wide range—supporting walking, jumping, and more in VR.

In one year YVR shipped two high-end headsets—from 6DoF to disruptive optics—including the world’s first mass-produced Pancake ultra-short-focus all-in-one YVR 2, raising China’s VR hardware toward world-class levels.
YVR will keep delivering quality products at the crossroads of tech and humanity—beautiful, capable, fun VR for more people and a shared metaverse future. For serious players, choose YVR.
