PFDM & Qualcomm: 2023 XR Innovation Challenge—Finalists Announced

Hosted by Qualcomm with PFDM and XR partners, the “2023 Qualcomm XR Innovation Challenge” received over 500 submissions since registration opened April 20. From more than 200 qualified entries, 80+ works advanced to the finals.
The Qualcomm XR Innovation Challenge is Qualcomm’s platform for XR developers and teams—now in its fifth year—uniting the ecosystem with hardware vendors, developers, and distribution to encourage high-quality XR apps for China and grow the industry.
Founded in 2020, PFDM focuses on spatial computing devices to deliver new digital entertainment, change how information is accessed, advance the 3D revolution, and support human progress. Two milestone XR products have been released.
This year, developers receive multiple Snapdragon XR-based commercial devices. Nine tracks include PFDM, with 49 prizes worth over RMB 1.21 million. Teams also get promotion, training, and investor access. For the second year, PFDM offers the “YVR Innovation Award”—Platinum, Gold, and Silver (six slots).
Qualcomm and PFDM combine strengths for XR. As a leading spatial computing brand, PFDM builds an open, easy, fun ecosystem. Its store has 120+ apps across games, video, fitness, and social.
Guided by “at the crossroads of technology and humanity,” PFDM is developing its third-generation spatial computing device. Over 70% of staff are in full-stack R&D.
PFDM will work with global developers and partners to grow the ecosystem.
