PFDM Wins Shanghai Design 100+—Leadership in Design and Innovation

September 28: the 2022–2023 “Shanghai Design 100+” launch and “Design Innovative City” forum were held. Shanghai is building a world-class “design capital,” collaborating with global creative cities and advancing design-driven industry, urban vitality, public services, quality of life, and city branding. PFDM won the Shanghai Design 100+ “Insight into the Future” category.
This year’s program had UNESCO Creative Cities Network support and attracted 2,542 submissions from 18 countries and regions including China, the US, France, Italy, and Spain. Finalists will empower industry—from “Made in China” to “Created in China”—and unlock new value.
Insight into the future—industrial aesthetics
Amid rapid tech change, PFDM looks ahead and applies industrial aesthetics to give products soul—exploring the intersection of technology and need. We believe tech can change life and become art in life.
Founded in 2020, PFDM focuses on spatial computing and has launched two milestone XR products—including YVR 2 in 2022.
YVR 2 offers a fashion-forward sci-fi look, comfortable wear, strong performance, precise tracking, and rich content—breaking old design rules with contemporary style. The sunglasses-inspired integrated design uses high-pressure composite craft and Babyskin-feel paint for a prism sheen and smooth grip.
