PFDM Showcases at CIIE: Hands-On Tech Draws Crowds

21

June 2024

From November 5 to 10, 2023, the sixth China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). CIIE is the world’s first national-level expo themed on imports, welcoming guests from 154 countries, regions, and international organizations. Under the theme “New Era, Shared Future,” PFDM joined as a Qualcomm partner, showcasing its self-developed YVR 2 VR headset at Qualcomm’s booth and attracting many visitors for hands-on demos.

Embracing the spatial computing era and advancing the 3D technology revolution

Founded in 2020, PFDM is a high-tech company focused on spatial computing devices. It aims to deliver new digital entertainment experiences, change how people access information, advance the 3D information technology revolution, and support human progress. To date, it has launched two milestone XR headsets. As one of the few domestic teams with full-stack R&D for spatial computing devices, PFDM balances technology, product, and market fit (Technology Product Market Fit), aligns with tech trends and user needs, and uses technology to create better experiences and unprecedented spatial computing—changing how the world accesses information.

From virtual to reality: a hands-on tech experience

The YVR 2 headset is powered by the Snapdragon XR2 platform, with a dual Fast-LCD design, 1058 PPI, 90 Hz refresh, and a 95° field of view for smooth use. PFDM’s self-developed head and hand 6DoF algorithms support walking, jumping, and more in virtual space for natural interaction. Self-developed hand tracking enables controller-free “sci-fi” interaction. At Qualcomm’s booth, visitors tried multiple VR games on YVR hardware and experienced immersive entertainment powered by spatial computing.

Where humanity meets tech: recognized at home and abroad

YVR 2 combines pure design with human-centered technology. It is the only domestic all-in-one VR device to win Germany’s Red Dot, iF, and the US IDEA—three of the world’s top industrial design awards—alongside honors such as the Most Successful Design Award and the Shanghai Design 100+ “Insight into the Future” award. It breaks conventional industry design with a light, curved form that feels futuristic.

With a bold sci-fi look, comfortable wear, strong performance, precise tracking, and a rich content ecosystem, YVR 2 leads XR style. Its sunglasses-inspired integrated design uses a high-pressure composite process and premium Babyskin-feel paint for a prism-like sheen and smooth grip—popular among spatial computing enthusiasts.

Building the future together and empowering every industry

XR is accelerating, and spatial computing opens broad possibilities. Guided by the idea of standing “at the crossroads of technology and humanity,” PFDM is advancing its third-generation spatial computing device so users can explore, connect, and create in the metaverse. Cooperation with Qualcomm reflects both sides’ leadership and innovation in XR and a shared vision for the future of spatial computing.

Going forward, PFDM hopes to empower industries with spatial computing and help bring society into a smarter new era.
