Official figures show China’s 2023 box office exceeded RMB 50 billion in 317 days—again proving the market’s vitality. For the future of viewing, XR is unlocking potential beyond traditional AV limits and becoming a hot topic industry-wide.
XR viewing is spreading across culture. From September 28 to November 26, during “Art in Fuliang 2023,” PFDM focused on XR viewing with a “Dream Screening Room” in the tea fields of Hanxi Village, Fuliang County—using this new medium to trace the life and rise of tea in this historic tea region, bringing fresh tech to the countryside and a more immersive viewing experience.

Immersion: “being there” in the story
As the spatial computing era opens, film faces one of its most disruptive moments. Unlike traditional viewing, XR can feel like standing inside the scene—anytime, anywhere, on a giant virtual screen. Major international festivals now spotlight XR with dedicated showcases.
Hardware keeps evolving, turning “future fantasy” into daily life. PFDM’s YVR 2 is the world’s first mass-produced Pancake ultra-short-focus optical VR all-in-one, with an industry-leading two-lens optical stack and curved film technology—over 50% better optical resolution, reducing edge distortion and blur. At only 42 mm total thickness, it stays slim for long sessions. PFDM’s self-built cinema app offers IMAX-style and beach-house scenes, pure black and starry lock screens, adaptive brightness, and real-time screen lighting for theater-beating immersion. YVR 2 supports 10+ major video apps including mobile cloud VR, iQIYI VR, Youku, Tencent Video, and Bilibili—full libraries on demand.

Tech for culture: rural revitalization with “visibility”
The “Dream Screening Room” at Art in Fuliang 2023 is part of PFDM’s push for XR viewing. For nearly two months it drew visitors; 3D worlds engaged sight, sound, and touch, letting people cross time and space to feel the old prosperity of “buying tea in Fuliang” in a new way.
PFDM focuses on spatial computing to deliver digital entertainment, change how information is accessed, and advance the 3D revolution—guided by standing “at the crossroads of technology and humanity” and connecting emotionally in culture.
As a lifestyle co-creation partner for the festival, PFDM blended modern and traditional through leading XR hardware—where tech meets culture. It helped activate rural cultural assets with “digital +” energy and boosted local tourism.

With XR, ancient bells from three millennia ago can surround you; you can stroll through the Yu Garden lantern spectacle—an experience many people only get during the annual Lantern Festival—any time. XR is reviving heritage and intangible culture. Today, over 500 domestic scenic spots support XR panoramic immersive tours—a new wave in cultural tourism.
Soon, XR will be an essential part of cultural life. PFDM will keep shaping imagination in the spatial computing era—using technology to expand sensory and artistic possibility.
